I had to go someplace only four blocks from my home this morning. Parking is so iffy, I decided to walk. Sunscreen, big hat, go. It took me less than eight minutes, and I felt like I'd been hit by a bus. I think it's the heat as much as the sun. Why, why, why? Then I remembered asking this same question a couple of years ago. I looked it up, and man, Anthony and I had a good conversation about it! I remember now all the reasons this happens. Understanding helps.

Of course, it also made me miss Anthony. He was SO sharp, SO funny, and SO compassionate. I miss his wit and the way he responded to my silly jokes. For a few minutes, it was like he was alive again. Reading his posts is like looking through a photo album.

Anyway, thanks, Anthony.

There was so much more to Anthony that many folks never saw. I consider it a privilege to have had a friendship with him outside of this board .

As I said before, I am grateful for lupus for bringing Anthony, Cake and Mr. Bun into my world. smiley: Hugz - keystrokes: :hug2

Bun, I don't like the sound of those "couple of issues." Glad you're where there are people to watch out for you but concerned that you need it. Sending healthy vibes.

Bun I am up late to. It's way to hot to sleep. My house is 85 degrees and while sleeping next to hubby in the winter time when it is cold outside is great (hubby puts out a lot of heat) it's not so good when it's hotter then h e l l . I have tried reading and that's not helping so now I am watching the Kardashians hopefully sleep will come soon. We have one more day of extreme heat then it's supposed to cool down. We shall see

I guess I'll join the late night crowd. I am suffering from a nose bleed at the moment. Surprised that I haven't had one sooner with my allergies being so out of control.

Bun, I'm glad that you are staying with your sister as you recover. Hope you feel better soon.

My oldest son recently moved to Chicago and I was visiting him a few months ago.  We were walking downtown on the river walk and out along the lake; I remembered someone said Anthony had a wonderful view of the lake so that made me think about him and occasionally brought tears to my eyes.  Such a wonderful man.

I'm new here, officially. I'd like to hear more about this Anthony, if anyone is in a storytelling mood...

It's very hard for us to talk about him right now. The pain is still very fresh

I understand. As I said, I only posted in case anyone feels like talking is right for them.
