Hi, all.  I'm new to the forum but have been fighting systemic lupus for 12 years now.  My left kidney is now being impacted, I get constant blood infections, platelet issues, stomach infections and of course, the standard leg swelling, rashes on my body, sores inside my mouth and on my tongue, etc.

I'm not just worn out physically, I'm worn out mentally, too.  I am a native St. Louisan but I lived in Phoenix, AZ for 16 years and just moved back to the St. Louis area.  I'm actually in South St. Louis County.  Back in Phoenix, I was a part of a local support group, which was super helpful on days when I was feeling really down or alone in this battle.  I have only seen one support group on the website for the St. Louis area and it's all the way up in North County.

Does anyone know of a support group in South County that is fairly active that I could join?

Thank you all for your help!

Found this on the main page here:

They could probably direct you.

As of right now they only have one support group. They use to have multiple locations but no one was attending them or very few were attending them. I wish they would move the group to a more central location since they only have one. The one in North County has been the most attended so they kept it.

I agree we need another one in St. Louis in a more centralized location and a better time. Getting there at 6:30 means most of us have to go through a lot of traffic. It's also hard to stay in my car for the long drive when the sun is shining and bright outside.
