My hearing has been scheduled for late January. I'll be 49. I haven't worked in almost 2 years. I'm being managed with medication, but anxiety is a huge factor that prevents me from being able to return to any meaningful work. I'm concerned b/c I have a lot of education. Suggestions on specific information I could provide to support my case other than medical records, of course.

I should mention I got diagnosed 2 years ago, right about the time I stopped working.

I can share with you some of the questions I was asked by Social Security:
*Did your doctor advise you to stop working? If so, why?
*Tell me about a normal day for you.
*Are you able to do housekeeping chores? Are you able to do some of them, if not all? Please describe.
*Does your disability interfere with your social life? If so, in what way?
*How far can you walk? How long can you stand?
*Can you cook a meal independently? Are you responsible for cooking all of your meals each week?
*Do you do your own grocery shopping? If not, how do you get your groceries?
*What do you do to relax?
I am certain there were other questions, but those are the ones that come to mind. I hope that your meeting goes very well. Good luck!
