au contraire    My daughter has studied French for years and she's tried to teach me how to speak French but this is the only thing I know how to say. It's become an inside joke with us. I actually laughed out loud when I read it.

I'm going to start putting a few things aside for those pesky little trips to the hospital. It's a great idea to have a bag packed and ready to go. But maybe if I exercise more I won't need to be hospitalized:

at the very least, just follow the old Latin proverb that says, "Before supper walk a little, after supper do the same."

@Cakelady
@IrishLass

One small but important point about having a bag packed...

My bag was originally (and hopefully still is) for impromptu road trips...I would HATE to think of it as my 'hospital bag'...
so to me, it's my vacay bag first...which is also useful if I have to go the the hospital!

brownies have their place, of course cake,
but one needs to work out their body as much as their mind Smiley

… & clean undies are always good Smiley though a necessity if you have a touch of colitis

Clean undies are a MUST. And your washing machine reminds me of our kitten. He could stare at the washing machine while it is on for hours

Barbara,

I would much rather vacay than be hospitalized. I only wish I needed a bag packed for an impromptu long weekend away.

I've never heard of autoimmune hepatitis. Is it similar to hepatitis? Either way, I'm glad to hear that it's in remission. You must have had it for years? How are you coping with the lupus diagnosis?

Unfortunately I have colitis so I will need extra undies in my travel bag. The good news is that my washer and dryer are right off my kitchen so no dark, dank basements for me or my delicates . Look on the bright side, going up and down the stairs is good for you

mmm...Think I'd best clarify my post of "brownies" so you don't think Im obsessed with bowel movements. I was referring to brownies of the magical kind, the ones you cook after you add a special ingredient.....might be an Aussie thing.....though very important in self care I reckon!

@Aussie - no need to clarify the brownie mention - i knew a real hippy in the '60s - but we already knew you were obsessed w/ bowel movements....you really can't hide a thing like that [biggrin]

@Irish - i used to go up & down 1 flight of stairs to use my laundry, now i'll need to go down & up 1 flight of stairs -- no change, no gain.

yikes! did i say no change? this is going to cost plenty of quarters … i feel a brownie coming on [smile]
