The first holiday of the summer is upon us.  Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend?  Does lupus prevent you from participating in these summer holidays?

My hubby's off on Monday.  I'd like to get some gardening done, but I need a lot of help with that. Other than that, we have a nice, quiet weekend coming up which is okay with me!

sounds like a sensible plan to us, but why pay someone else for something you can easily do yourself?

Bc it hurts like the dickens --and if you're smart, you'll get 'em done simultaneously, which requires another set of hands...

speaking of hobbies that keep us occupied....

does anyone have an ant farm? .... is there a trick to keeping the ants alive, or does it just require practice playing god ?
[um061]

was given one as a gift by an old girlfriend long ago, after she got tired of hearing how much we wanted one.

once the ants arrived in the mail & were then gently put out to pasture (following all the directions to a T concerning care & nourishment) every morning for the next 2 weeks, over coffee, had to sit there & watch yet another burial service.....there were funerals every damn day.

found it so depressing, set the remaining captives free & tossed it.

but we're having another look at the possibility of starting a new farm & was wondering if anyone had some tips...thx

Well, for me I am going to honor this holiday as it was intended. I will honor my Uncle, Henry David Miller, who was lost in the Korean war, in 1951. He is still MIA.
