I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis a little over a year ago after 8 years of symptoms. Those included chronic dry eye, idiopathic hives and occasional Raynaud's phenomenon. About six or seven years ago I started having severe and chronic sciatica, which turned out to be permanent damage to my SI joint. I've had psoriasis since college. After a near PsA diagnosis in 2012, I was left to deal with my chronic pain for three years. I was finally diagnosed after a huge postpartum flare where multiple joints became involved and I could barely walk. I'm now managing my PsA with Enbrel and lots of ibuprofen. Still, I've always had these other symptoms unexplained by PsA. I'm currently experiencing a bout of chronic hives that has lasted for months. I've never had a malar rash, but everything else seems to fit. I'm ANA negative and RF negative. Does anyone else here have PsA? I have an appointment with my rheumy for July 17. Should I attempt to move it up?

I have not been diagnosed yet so I can't be much help to you.  I would definitely try to move up your appointment.  I have been seeing a rheumotologist for over 2 years now with no diagnosis.  I had a positive ana and sever muscle and joint pain.  My hands and feet swell (sometimes my arms and legs too).  I get red almost like sunburn on my cheeks and nose whenever I am around the sun or flourscent lighting.  I did just get diagnosed with vertigo which seems to get worse for me around lights.  My primary says I have SLE and possibly RA but blood test say no.  My rheumy just says inflammatory atrophy and won't give me a real diagnosis.  He also said it could be from my ulcerative colitis.  But that is in remission.  I am going for a second opinion but can't get in until July.

Wow, your symptoms sound pretty classic. Glad you're getting a second opinion. Calling my rheumy today.
