Hi I am new here. I have been sick for about 20 years. Got diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2000. Now i am getting a rash of multiple round red curls on the top of my foot where the sun hits my skin. I called to make a dr appointment I can't get in till may 15th. The girl on the phone said they will have to send me to a specialist. So it could be a month or two before I get answers. Help

Did your doctor suggest possible discoid?

Are you seeing your regular doctor or a dermatologist? I'd try to get in with a dermatologist as they can better assess the rash and also do a skin biopsy if warranted.

I'd take a few pictures of it....just in case it goes away before the appointment.

Has it been there long?

The big red spot covers my heal and back of foot has been here for like 5 years.. it's getting worse. The smaller ones are more recent with in a few weeks.

That's nice of the docs to treat you for free. May I ask what you mean by  "red curls"? Dots? Semi-circles? Spirals?

Could it be possible to have multiple cases of drug-induced lupus if docs can't figure out what's causing the symptoms or think they're part of whatever condition you're taking the medication for, so they don't ID it as drug-induced lupus the first 4 times? I'm just guessing.

Discoid (round) is very definitive. Red, raised, scaly and scarring.

If I am not mistaken and I can very well be but once you have medically induced lupus it just doesn't go away

For those who did not know it Anthony had medically induced lupus

Oh, I didn't know that about Anthony. :( Everything I've read has said drug-induced lupus is temporary. Is medically-induced lupus something different?
