Sounds like what happened to me. My work "laid me off" so that I could file for unemployment. Most of my work was outside and there was no way possible for me to do that anymore. I was devastated. I loved that job, the kids and people that I worked with. Looking back now, it was the best thing that they could have done for me. I was killing myself by all the UV exposure from bothe the sun and fluorescent lights in the classroom and recreation centers that I worked in. They claimed at the time that there was no reasonable accommodations that they could make due to the nature of my job.
