Well, my Memorial Day Weekend will consist of sitting inside watching movies and matching socks. It's 88 here. I went out today to shop and run errands, and between the sun and florescent lights, I am once again feeling like something someone spilled on the recliner. I'm not complaining, though, as I'd much rather stay indoors when I'm feeling this bad.

But I AM feeling a little lonely. Is anyone else staying home and indoors this weekend?

Winter down under and I have had a busy weekend - yesterday with 3 year old grandson, today a walk on the beach with my daughter, sister, and dogs, then coffee at a nearby cafe. Now I am exhausted but working tomorrow - part time fortunately so it's all manageable.

I'll be making a quick trip to pick up some groceries that I forgot the other day, but otherwise staying home and indoors. But that seems like most of my weekends anyway. Might get some light rain on and off the next couple of days also.

I was inside all day yesterday while my husband did yard work. Watched Neflix - The Keepers - pretty good.

Today we have a party. I'll be wearing lots of sunscreen, a hat, and hoping for the best!

The heat index is 112 this weekend and tomorrow 80% chance of needed rain. I went to the grocery store. Otherwise, we are inside. I'm reading mostly. Stay out of the sun and enjoy some relaxation. I promise a nap is in my agenda for tomorrow.

I am usually inside most of the time anyway, so this weekend won't be much different. Went to the movies with my best friend yesterday to watch the new Pirates movie. We have also rented a few movies from Redbox and always have Netflix as backup. Babysitting my great nephew and my grandson on Friday kicked my butt and I haven't been moving much since.

I had company last night, so today I'm back to being happy in my solitude. It's cloudy and cool here today, and that helps a lot, too. It's easier for me to spend time remembering the true meaning of Memorial Day when I'm inside and alone--another bonus.

Glad you had some company.

True meaning of Memorial Day is often forgotten.

Rainy here.....and I have to work.

taffy I spend a lot of time inside by myself because of my disabilities and I have a cat and a dog and they really give me a lot of comfort I don't know if you have one or the other but they really help me and having a friend drop in now and then helps I also went to barbecue and had to take my big hat three-quarter sleeves and sunscreen go lower but I did OK being a home alone is hard even if you have pets I have started painting and drawing that seems to keep my mind busy good luck
