This has been a sudden change. I mean, yes, I definitely reacted to prolonged sun exposure. I'd spend a day hiking and the next bed-bound. But I was OK in cloudy weather. I certainly thought I'd be fine completely covered and out in the rain! But the eye stuff has been a strain, and three people I knew died in the past week, so I have to factor that in.

I'm not defending my old ways. There's such a thing as cumulative damage, I think, and God knows, lupus is unpredictable. I'm so sorry to learn of your situation. That stinks.

taffy sorry to hear that you had such a reaction I do the things you do but I only stay out for 30 to 45 minutes just long enough to walk my dog around the block and sniff everything or if my friend talks me into going to the pool it's definitely only 30 minutes. let me clarify the dog would be the one sniffing everything. I hope this helps taffy and I hope you're feeling better now .

I am feeling better. Thanks, Darla. I laughed hard at the image of you sniffing everything! My laugh of the day!
