Has anyone experienced a "hot spot". Yesterday, I notices my left elbow was swollen and warm & hot to the touch. Looks like there may be  bruise on the tip of my elbow, but don't remember hitting it ( not unusual).

My cheeks look like someone just kept smacking me. It's sad you can do everything right and still get sick but it was my fault for being outside but someone had to go with my grandmother

Hey Uh Oh....

What are your "hot spots" like on your knuckles? It's mostly one knuckle on my dominant hand index finger that I notice being kind of red....and maybe swollen a bit? I am always looking at my hands, because I have swollen blood vessels/skin at the base of the cuticles on all my hands (probably my first symptom). My rheumatologist always checks them. She is a scleroderma expert, and does not feel it looks like a "scleroderma pattern". And I have no symptoms of that. Also....all my dermatomyositis labs are negative and I don't have any major symptoms of that - but I know the finger thing is common with that....(though can be seen in lupus). I guess since I am UCTD I am always vigilant about anything I notice. So just curious of your experience. Thanks! :)

My hands swell so much that I can't wear any rings.  So for our 20th anniversary we got our wedding date tattooed on that finger for our wedding bands.
