So has if I did not need another issue ---- I received in the mail a notice marked urgent from the SSA office. They are reviewing my case. I received a notice last year saying they needed to review my case but received a letter on September 14th stating that they no longer needed to review my case yet 3 months later they do. I am freaking out about it. I am so scad that I will write something wrong and they only gave me to the 21st to get everything to them. They claim they will contact my doctors but this office does not have a good track record. It is going to be a heck of a month.

I have all of those heart test scheduled, then the SSDI paper work, I am having chest pains and coughing up every color of the rainbow. I will call the doctor in the morning. My son is also sick so I have to take him to the doctor and my daughter wants to be not so nice. I really need a break.

I am dealing with some of those very same issues.. I'm sorry for all that you are going through. Hopefully the SSDI review will be over somewhat quickly so you can concentrate on YOU, getting and feeling better. Hang in there!

I was getting upset today at the doctors office I had to take my son in and myself we both have bronchitis and he told me to stop stressing it was only going to make me worse so I am trying to stay positive but dealing with the SSA office is a pain in the butt.

I hope yours goes good

Dee,

It is no wonder Soc. Sec is in bad shape they are always telling us it won't last. They waste financial resources reviewing people who truly need the disability. Maybe they should educate themselves on the various illnesses and disorders out there, and audit the ones that are not chronic and debilitating.
This stress is not good for you.

Sunny good luck with appeal number 3.

Kimnlydia21 - good luck with your appeal. Hope it finally goes threw. I know the feeling cuz I was first denied in 2004. Then 3 years ago got a lawyer and reapplied. It took 2 years to see a judge who (wrongfully) denied me because he said I drive a car. Go to church and have friends! So of course my lawyer found 50 pages of evidence of how that judge wrongfully denied me. Now it's been almost another year and now I'm just waiting to get to see a panel of 3 judges to make a decision. Ia am constantly scared because as a single mom of 3 that hasn't been able to work anymore since 06' I need this disability to kick in! My parents have been nice enough to help me out with $500 a month to pay my bills until I'm approved but it makes me feel so helpless to not be able to take care of myself financially. It's bad enough that I already suffer taking care of myself physically. I'm hoping and praying the wait will soon be over.

I wouldn't wish the disability process on anyone!  You know, after I went through a horrible nightmare that lasted years with SSA, a "friend" told me that she used to work for a regional social security office. During the Bush Administration (not that it matters, they're all the same in my book), they sent in a consulting firm that cost tens of millions to teach each representative how to "discourage" applicants in the application process. She said a 74 year old woman came in to apply who had cancer. She could barely sit up and had no family. The "consultant" kept telling her how to "discourage" the lady from applying - first it was "you don't qualify" (which wasn't true),  then when the lady cried the "consultant" told her to insult her, "Why can't you get a job answering phones? Are you lazy?". My "friend" refused to say that. She took the ladies application and saw that it was entered into the "system" and she told the 74 year old woman to get an attorney and quit right there on the spot. She told me, "If insulting a woman who's worked her whole life and paid into the system and now needs benefits she's entitled to is part of my job...I'd rather dig ditches. At least it's honest work."

THIS is our system.

Cake: If you don't have an attorney - get one right this second. Don't wait. Get one. Now.

Frankly, they expect you to get an attorney, and then they hope we die before we ever see a dime of benefits. Don't let that happen. Get that attorney. ((((hugs))))

thanks, I have been re-approved but I want to warn everyone that is on SSDI that they will at sometime want you to fill out more paperwork and get re-approved again. they can even ask you again to see their doctor.

so make your file and make sure you keep your lab reports etc because it does come in handy. Also don't rely on your doctor to fill out the paperwork on time. I had to keep calling and I even picked up the forms and faxed them myself just to make sure they got the paperwork they needed. I also had to pay one of my doctors $10 per page to fill out.
