Exploring The Link Between Alzheimer's & The Immune System: New Research Examines Key Protein

“There’s an emerging theme in Alzheimer’s genetics that the immune system may be strongly involved in the onset of Alzheimer’s disease” … “Before genetic studies, many thought that inflammation was a symptom of or a reaction to the disease, but our study and others build a compelling case that the immune system may be involved in the development of Alzheimer’s disease.”

Yikes. I heard a reporter say on a weekend news show that he believes that Alzheimer's will become "just another chronic disease", and that there will soon be something akin to a "cure" for it. That would be great news. Here is hoping that he is correct!

As a sufferer of CNS lupus and having a Father (bless him) succumb to Alzheimers' complications, I find this article valuable.

Once again thank you Mr Bun for reposting this. I guess some people who do not have a lot to add to the forum need to complain. It's really sad

Bumping things up is a great way to help someone find some good information. It doesn't matter who originally posted it as long as the information is accurate.

Sorry you call me names.
Yes. Worth the bump so I could see the unnecessary comment from Robin
Inappropriate response to my opinion.

Shutterbug again I read my opinion. My opinion was that anyone could submit appropriate links; my comment is observing that to author and participate is based on permission and approval there fore this cannot fly with the banned author.

Hope you see my opinion; was not intending on disrespect or " trouble"

..........just saying, zest

Zest, you have to stop your unhealthy obsession with DeBartolo. He was a very valuable source of information on this board & unfortunately for all lupus sufferers no one will ever fill his shoes here.
You only have to look at this board now & see it is lacking in new & relevant information.
People have personality clashes in life, just move on.
You must let go of this.
Deep breaths...in 123...out 123.
Have a blessed day.
Cheers....
