You will need to REGISTER and create your PROFILE before you can create a new topic or reply to an existing topic.  If you had an account on our old message boards, you still need to create an account on for this update message board.  We did not transfer the records from the old message boards.

1. Click on the REGISTER tab at the top of the message boards.  You can log in using your Facebook account, or create a new account using your email address.  You must have a valid email address to register.  You will receive an email at the address you provide in order to complete your registration.

2. Create your USERNAME and PASSWORD and follow the instructions on the registration form. Select your USERNAME carefully as you cannot change it once your email address has been verified.  Be sure to ACCEPT the USER AGREEMENT.  We also hope you will opt in to receive email alerts from the Lupus Foundation of America so we can keep you informed of developments in lupus research, education and advocacy.  We will not share your email address with others.

3. Open your email inbox to CONFIRM YOUR EMAIL address by clicking on the link from the LUPUS MESSAGE BOARDS. (Check your SPAM folder if you don't receive an email from us within a few minutes.) After your email address has been confirmed, click on the link to return to the message boards to complete your PROFILE.

4. Complete your PROFILE by clicking on the CONTROL PANEL tab at the top of the page and enter the optional additional information onto your profile.  Also remember to configure your visibility settings and contact options as desired.  You can edit your profile and change settings and options at anytime in the future by clicking on the CONTROL PANEL tab.

4. Now you are ready to begin using the message boards.
